Contemporary Psychotherapy

Contemporary Psychotherapy is a flexible and integrative approach which is ever-evolving and adapts to your unique needs. Drawing on a blend of talking therapy, person-centred counselling, IFS, hypnotherapy, somatic practices, CBT, Gestalt therapy and proactive NLP, to name but a few. This collaborative approach can help you feel heard, supported, and become equipped with practical tools and resources for the change you seek.

Our sessions often begin with talking therapy so we can explore what’s happening for you right now. From there, we might use gentle state-shifting exercises, grounding techniques, or hypnotherapy if you choose, to help you feel more regulated and uncover deeper insights. The process can be reflective, empowering, and at times even playful. A Contemporary Psychotherapist knows that you are also always evolving and changing and with that, your needs and skills will also shift.

I believe the answers you seek are already within you—therapy simply helps you strengthen your inner resources and apply them where you need most. Together, we can let go of patterns that no longer serve you and create space for new choices, possibilities, and a future that feels more aligned with who you are becoming.

This work honours both mind and body. Many people come to therapy when their thoughts and feelings are out of sync, or when life feels overwhelming for no clear reason. By bringing awareness to the body as well as the mind, we can help regulate the nervous system, restore balance, and build a healthier relationship with your emotions.
