Let's Meet

I’m Chrissie

In a world that promotes Equality and fair treatment, we are often left feeling lost and undervalued, perhaps even wondering what we did to deserve the life we have. The media can turn people against one another and the differing opinions of our friends, family and social media can be overwhelming at times. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

With a profound commitment to assisting individuals in their personal growth and healing, I am dedicated to providing therapy services and workshops that empower individuals to rebuild and recover at their own pace, within a nurturing and non-judgmental environment.

I believe that we have our own resources and knowledge within ourselves, we just need a little guidance and support to unlock them sometimes.

Back in 2017, my life was flipped upside down and I un-knowingly suffered with PTSD. By ignoring my trauma, I ended up prolonging and exasperating my symptoms. Anti-depressants didn’t heal me and it was then I turned to Psychotherapy instead. I decided to train as a Contemporary Psychotherapist so that I too, could help others who may be suffering.

I offer a warm, honest space and will do my best to support you safely. I aim to offer these conditions as best as I can during our relationship, whilst appreciating you as an individual and accepting how you are in the world, so that you can only change the things you want to. I aim to help you understand your experiences and provide some tools which can aid healing. The growth that you seek will help shape our time together.

ALONGSIDE PRIVATE PRACTICE

My involvement as a volunteer at Pegasus Men’s Wellbeing Charity has granted me the privilege of working alongside a diverse range of clients, fostering a unique and enriching professional experience.

I co-created the mental health space in Bangkok, It’s Okay Not To Be Okay (Girls) – a place for anyone identifying as a woman to share their stories and be authentically themselves in a safe environment.
I run mental health workshops once a month, teaching anxiety tips, promoting relaxation and guiding growth, followed by food, drinks and a chance to make new supportive friends.

We also collaborate with others in Bangkok offering creative and safe spaces to aid creativity, healing, enjoyment and a chance to connect with others in the community.

Please get in touch if you would like to join us or can offer a safe space with your services. Together we find strength in community.

My Services

ONLINE PSYCHOTHERAPY

Online Psychotherapy is a way for you to engage in therapy using internet technology on your computer, laptop or smart phone.

You can chose the place and the pace of your therapy to suit your needs and we can meet at a time that is suitable for both of us.

Your session is 50 minutes – 1 hour. You do not necessarily need a webcam for this therapy and you may choose to remain anonymous should you wish.

ZOOM

Zoom is a way for you to see your therapist face to face from your home whilst engaging in therapy. Should you choose Zoom counselling, you will be sent an individual link before each session. If you choose to use your phone, you may need to download the app.
It is preferable that your hands are free, so find a spot to rest your phone if possible.

It is important for you that you are in a space, where you feel safe and won’t be interrupted or listened to by others.

Being able to see your psychotherapist gives you more of the benefits you get from face to face counselling but with the convenience of online therapy. By talking, you hear tone of voice which is a way to convey empathy and by video you see non-verbal communications such as facial expressions.

BENEFITS

Counselling therapy from the comfort of your own home
Secure encryption software offers confidentiality and peace of mind (we do our best)
No chance that you may be seen entering the counsellor’s practice (not that this should matter)
When using email or online chat, you are able to review what you are saying before sending
Therapy at a time, place and pace that suits you
Some find it easier to express their feelings by writing it down (email/chat)
Access to therapy may be more immediate and convenient.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Are you comfortable using internet technology?
Would you prefer to see your therapist face to face?
Do you believe you can express your experiences well using words?
Do you have complex issues that you’d rather work on in person?
Is there a safe space that you can use privately without interruption?
Text communication can sometimes be open to misunderstanding.
If vision is limited then there will be no nonverbal cues or body language for you or the therapist to read which can lead to misunderstandings.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to see if it’s suited to your needs at this time, or if I can direct you to a more suitable service.

For workshops, Seminars and in-person Therapy inquiries, please use the consultation form.
